Rant - Chuck Palahniuk

Hello Dahlings!

I loved, love and will keep loving Fight Club. Ive always had a big crush on Edward Norton so that was a big plus. It was like A++ kind of plus. I think you get the picture. The movie was just Legen-...wait for it -dary! Yes! Ive been bitten by the Barney Stinson bug. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go to How I Met Your Mother (i love this series!) I will talk about Barney in a different blog entry. For now, its all about Chuck Palahniuk.

CHUCK PALAHNIUK

So back in the day, I had totally no clue that Fight Club was based from a novel written by Chuck Palahniuk. I think this was four years ago, 2004, when I met this girl and told me all about it. She started telling me about Palahniuk and the novels she have read. Taking from her testimonial and how I looooved Fight Club, I went and got a copy of Diary.

Never finished it.

Looking at the timeline, Ive had this book for 4 years already but never finished it. I think Ive read the first few chapters hundreds of times because I had to start at the very beginning to remember how the story started. I caught myself bored at the book and it just felt that the story never really picked up steam.

Now for the second time around, Im trying another Palahniuk paperback titled RANT. So far, so good. Ive been reading reviews online and so far they have been kind and good.

I'll let you know once I finish the book if its another Diary or if its another Fight Club.
